State the nomenclature in AC circuits

1-

The form of voltage curve generated in an ideal alternator was described. The instantaneous values of emf e are related to the maximum values em and given by the equation

e = emsinθ

where θ is the angle between the given position of the coil and its position when the generated emf is zero. If this sinusoidal emf is applied to a resistor, the current at each instant is

The current then varies in exactly the same manner as the voltage. For a resistor the voltage is in phase with the current.
